It is not really about styles, it is about the person who is utilizing them. Basically you have to know how to strike and grapple.
The mind is by far the most powerful weapon.
*You could say kickboxing, Muay Thai, karate, boxing are all good for striking. Wrestling is essential as are Jiu Jitsu and other submission skills. Wrestling might be the most underrated skill that some don’t have.
here is the problem with your question. A boxer will say boxing is best, a kick boxer will say kickboxing, a person who does judo will say judo, me as a mixed martial artist am gonna say m.m.a . The thing is no one can tell you what is the best, there is no best or everyone would train in it. You need to find which one works best for you, which will take a little experimentation. Also know what you want to get out of your training(to compete, to be in shape, discipline, self defence, all of them, etc.) and that may help you to narrow down your choices. However, your style won’t determine what type of a martial artstis or fighter you are, that lies in your hand, the syle doesn’t matter as much as the person who takes it.
There is no best art, only which art is best for an individual. I studied several martial arts before training in Bujinkan. I have and still will study other arts after I started studying Bujinkan. For me and the way my body works, Bujinkan is the best art for me and all the other arts just add techniques to my arsenal.
So find what schools are close, try them all (any good school should offer a free class), and see which one you like better and go from there.
There is no “best” MA style. There are only martial artists with better skills.
First of all, please do yourself a favor and read these articles/blogs I found:

I’m not sure whay you are interested in which martial art causes the most damage to your opponent. The “best” martial art is the one that meets your needs. Do you know WHY you want to practice a martial art exactly?
Whether it’s for trophies, self-defense, impressing friends, or whatever, you have to know WHY first.
Then, go to your local schools and see what their goals are. Don’t just listen to a sales pitch. Look at the school and how the classes are taught.
I personally think every person on Earth should find a good Jeet Kune Do concepts instructor and start training.
That’s not because JKD is the best style. It’s because JKD isn’t even a style at all. It is a personalized approach that allows the coach and the athlete (you) to use whatever training methods work BEST FOR YOU!
JKD has always had a streetwise self-defense focus, but there are no limits.
Whether your instructor knows Karate, Jujitsu, Muay Thai, or whatever, he will try to make you fit into his style.
Keep your goals in mind and don’t do anything that will not demonstrably lead you to your own goals!
There is no such thing as “the best martial arts style.”
“Here I am as a human being, how can I express myself totally and completely? Now, that way you won’t create a style, because style is a crystallization. It is in you how you cope with it and all the types of attacks; and how you cover all the possible lines and angles.” – Bruce Lee
“Martial art is not to knock somebody out, it is to knock the hell out of your ego. ” Bruce Lee
